Even if the hunchback was born somewhere else in the Greek Isles; getting into sparta looking like a justin beiber fan would be very dangerously stupid. Regarding Persia, it is a fact that the emperor did not actually 'own' all of the armies such as the immortals... they were all individual armies hired as mercenaries. The soldiers followed the commander's oreders- not the emperor's. The only soldiers that were actualy 'owned' by the Persian Emperor were the official arabian royal guard and royal regiments scattered across Persia.
